Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Supervisor Acton.  

Members present Acton, Buckley, Haley, Rood, and Hoyt.

Department Reports

• Rod Williams, Ordinance Enforcement and Zoning Officer

o 2017 Zoning permits – 16 requested, 11 approved

o 2017 Ordinance violations – 25 reported, 9 have been closed, 2 not valid, 14 open cases (includes 1 court case)

Old Business

• Motion Rood/Acton to list for sale the 40 acres owned by Hayes Township with Condell Wonderland Realty instead of Harrison Realty, and to list the price at 2,950.00 per acre.  All Ayes, Motion carried

New Business

• Motion Hoyt/Rood to approve the Audit engagement letter with Yeo & Yeo in the amount of 9,350.00  All Ayes, Motion carried

• Motion Hoyt/Acton to approve wording in the updated Gym/Exercise Membership agreement to become effective 7/1/17.  All ayes, Motion carried

• Motion Hoyt/Acton to approve new rates for gym/exercise room effective 7/1/17.  All Ayes, Motion carried

• Motion Acton/Haley to approve full day rental rate (gym) – resident rate 350.00, non-resident rate 700.00  All Ayes, Motion carried

• Motion Hoyt/Acton to approve purchase and installation of hard drive for CCTV system (with a one year warranty) from Northern Fire & Safety in the amount of 467.00  Ayes 4, Nays 1; Motion carried

• Bid Opening for cemetery electric and well work will be held on Tuesday May 23 10:00 a.m.

• Special Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday May 23 10:30 a.m. to award the work for the cemetery project

• Appointment of Buckley and Haley to review Hayes Township Ordinances and report to the Board for discussion of changes

• Discussion on ORV access to Business 27 

• Discussion on Champion Force Athletics

Motion Buckley/Haley to adjourn meeting.  All Ayes.  Meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
