Department Reports
• Ordinance Enforcement – new reporting protocol was presented
New Business
• Motion Hoyt/Rood to award Refuse and Yard Waste Contract for Hayes Township to Waste Management. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried
• Motion Hoyt/Acton to approve Leroy plot buy back request All ayes, motion carried
• Motion Rood/Buckley to approve listing of 40 acres owned by township at with Harrison Realty and asking price is 3,000 per acre. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried
• Motion Rood/Acton to approve hiring of Steve Phelps as temporary maintenance technician at the rate of 10.00/hour and approximately 12-18 hours per week. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
• Motion Acton/Hoyt to approve gym floor maintenance provided by Bay Area Specialty Floor Covering in the amount of 2,196 and work to be performed in late August. All ayes, motion carried.
• Motion Hoyt/Rood to approve Workers Compensation Insurance renewal with Accident Fund 4/1/17 – 4/1/18. All ayes, motion carried.
• Motion Hoyt/Acton to advertise for request for bids for a well at cemetery and for electric work at cemetery. All ayes, motion carried
Public Comment
• Neighborhood Watch meeting is April 20 and will feature Autisum Awareness
• Possibility of street light at Townline Lake Road and Ball Avenue
• Easter egg drop at airport was successful
• Pleasant Plains Cemetery spring cleanup April 22 at 10:00 am, volunteers are encouraged to participate
• Blight issued – new protocol in place
• Lapham road project discussed: to be determined if paid by County, Township or Special Assessment
